Welded leadwork round a chimney, done the traditional way
Code 4 lead with a welded back gutter and front apron, step flashing up the sides, fully dressed and oiled.
What we did
How the job went
The join between a chimney and the roof is where most leaks start, and the lead is what keeps it dry. You do not see properly welded leadwork much any more. This is what it should look like.
What we did
- Code 4 lead throughout
- A welded back gutter behind the stack and a welded front apron
- Step flashing up both sides, cut into the brickwork
- Everything dressed tight to the tiles and oiled to finish
